- Recovering and enriching historical collections related to popular resistance, the national movement, and the War of Liberation, while ensuring their preservation and restoration.
- Collecting and documenting firsthand testimonies from Mujahideen, as well as retrieving historical photographs, documents, and artifacts related to the national struggle, classifying, preserving, and utilizing them for research purposes.
- Presenting national historical heritage to the public through well-organized permanent and temporary exhibitions, both within Algeria and abroad.
- Expanding the museum’s library with new sources and references focused on national memory, resistance history, and the War of Liberation.
- Organizing scientific research and training courses in museology to develop exhibition methods and improve documentation techniques.
- Publishing magazines, newsletters, and historical books, along with producing audiovisual materials to support and disseminate historical knowledge.
- Hosting scientific conferences, symposiums, and specialized study days to promote cultural and artistic engagement with Algerian history.
- Establishing the museum as an educational and research resource for students and scholars while ensuring daily access to the public from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
- Preserving the aesthetic and artistic value of museum artifacts as direct sources of information about Algeria’s historical memory.
